The purpose of “Τhe Internet Farm” app is to initiate children into the basic rules of Internet use from very young age, and to help them in acquiring from early childhood the necessary skills that will empower them to surf online responsibly, ethically and safely, and to benefit from the endless opportunities of the online worlds, while avoiding the pitfalls. The app contains five joyful stories taking place on an animal farm – with main characters the farm animals, and with the two heroes of the stories, Nicholas and Nicky, along with Powell the wise owl, and Hercules, their loyal dog –, with each story highlighting specific issues of proper Internet use. The small quiz of each story with alternating questions helps the kids to sum up and consolidate their acquired knowledge, receiving after successful completion of all five quizzes the “Internet Farm Certificate of Knowledge”. Furthermore, the children can have fun with the puzzles and the colouring. The app is completed with the “Brief dictionary of the Internet Farm” and the “Basic safety rules for enjoying the Internet”.
The first story of the app along with the brief dictionary and the basic safety rules is for free; the other four stories can be purchased through the app.
"The Internet Farm" is aimed at pre-school and primary school children. Nevertheless, the in-App purchase can solely be done by an adult, such as the parent or the guardian of the children, via the respective third party services.
We do not collect any personal data or any information about the user or the user’s devices of any kind. As we don’t collect any data, we don’t share any data with any third-party service providers or partners. For the purpose of the in-app purchase of the four app stories, the necessary data for the purchase procedure is collected solely by third parties as described here below under ‘Purchases’ and is subject exclusively to these third parties’ privacy policy.
